A Modified Correlative Model for Condensation Heat Transfer in Horizontal Enhanced Tubes with R32 and R410A Refrigerants

An experimental study was performed that compared tube side condensation heat transfer characteristics of enhanced tubes (hydrophobic surface (HYD), herringbone micro fin (HB), and a composite hydrophobic/herringbone (micro fin) (HYD/HB)) to the performance smooth (ST). The coefficient (HTC) calculated from data were recorded for had an outer diameter (OD) 12.7 mm. Data collected (as function mass flow rate) using couple refrigerants (R410A R32), saturated temperatures 35 °C 45 °C, with vapor qualities ranged 0.8 0.2. Several previously reported HTC models used calculate values could be experimentally obtained values. correlation model demonstrated best accuracy (for conditions considered) then modified use this study.
